If you have to pass emissions inspections, you will not be able to delete the SAI. The existence of SAI is encoded in the vehicle's VIN.

I have the heads off and it’s definitely a bad head gasket. I’ve ordered the ARP stud kit and gaskets set, new fan clutch, new water pump and am waiting for arrival.
I’ve also decided to do away with the secondary air. I have a 2000 disco 2 parts truck that does not have secondary air can I just swap computers and be alright?
In order to not have a check engine lamp/SES, you have to swap all emission related items, as well as modules.

Inline thermostat is a good option, much more cost efficient than machining the intake. I run them on all my trucks. If you have an non-SAI truck for parts and live in a state without emmissions that is a good swap, I would do the same.
