For those with vibrating or loud blower motor
For a year or longer I've been dealing with a loud blower motor, which at high speeds would vibrate the entire truck. The dash would literally move from this vibration and my defrost function wasn't that good. I finally took off the kick plate and removed the blower motor from under the dash. Low and behold - look what I found in the fan cage...
A piece of foam and some paper. Not really sure how these things made their way in to my fan but this was the quickest fix ever.
If you have any trouble with your fan, I suggest you take a look at yours for a possible easy solution. Since removing these items, I have about double the airflow I had, which was still remarkably good considering the blockages.

Just about anything can get sucked into the fresh air intake above the motor in the engine compartment. I shoved a cut piece of rough filter material in there to keep out the trash.
lol looks like Land Rovers act up together in sync cause I recently noticed my motor blower getting alittle loud. Ive done this project before on my D1 and I plan to take the motor out this weekend to clean it up. If memory serves me right I had to remove the glove compartment in order to wiggle the motor out, but again that was on my former D1, not sure if anything was changed or not.
Download what is called the RAVE, (service repair manual). You can get to it in my signature.
