Default To Those Who Have Done Option B SVS Fix:

I will start off with- yes, I know I should get my codes read; yes, I know I should purchase an Amigo.

What is leading me to believe its the circut board thingy is that I dont get the three amigos until after my car has been running for quite a while. And yes, thats running, not nessasarly driving. To test my theory, I started my car, let it idle, after about 20-30min the three amigos poped up.

I believe heat soak is messing with the circut board, breaking contact. Any one else run into this?

We looked into doing the option B but ended up buying the Land Rover replacement kit. The funny thing is we purchased the truck and not a light on the dash was lit. Replace the SVS seals and flush the brake fluid - bam three amigos. The SVS fault was diagnosed so replace the SVS switch and solenoid pack.

If not already done, now would a good time as any to replace the SVS seals and switch and start trouble shooting if the light remain lit.

ABS shuttle valve code solution; brake fluid leaks

Is the kit we used for SVS seals.

Like you said, you are wasting your time and ours guessing so go do what you know you have to do.

Borchera: I am gonna wait til I pull the svs pack to see if they have fluid on them. If so, I gonna replace the shuttle valve seals and found new switch pack on ebay for $65 shipped. .

I will clarify my orig. question so as not to waste anyones time, anyone that has fixed an svs fault, what were the symptoms other than the three amigos, or was that it? Did they show up immediatly? Take a while after running? And if the op b dont work, guess I will have to make the 100+ mile drive(or $200+ amigo) to check for codes

My 3 amigos were intermittent. Happened almost every time it was wet. Once I completed 'option b' the issue never returned.

Default Intermittent

Came and went. Sometimes after braking hard, sometimes in the rain, sometimes upon starting car, etc. I did have a code reader and the diagnosis was shuttle valve electrical failure. Did option B with new switches and shuttle valve seals - problem gone.

Sometimes just after starting and before moving, sometimes while driving while wet, sometimes while driving when dry, sometimes after hitting a pothole, sometimes on the highway. I pulled my switches and they tested bad on my DVOM per the writeup. I replaced the switches, seals, and did the option B fix. Amigo free since.

I did option B. Worked fine for 2 months. Went off roading 3 Amigos are back. So replaced the shuttle valve with a new one...as per my ABS Amigo told me. Next option is to replace seals and shuttle valve and do option B again. I should have replaced the seals the first time I was in there....cause the boots on the shuttle valves were slightly wet with brake fluid. But hind sight is 20/20 right. Oh and my brake light never goes out after replacing my rear pads.

I'll see what I got goin when I pull the switches, but by the sounds of it, plan on seals and possibly switches. I will definitly test them when I pull them.

Is the shuttle valve part of the modulator? When I bought my D2 just over a yr ago, the p.o. put a new modulator in 'cause the 3 amigos were on.

Thanks to all.

Yes, it's part of the modulator. Was it a new part from the dealer? Or just a "good" used one? A new modulator should work just fine for quite a while.
