Default Three Amigos Lights

Ok I got the lovely lights on.

Read all the posts about what to do etc.

But first things first I checked the pads and rotors.

My LR being a 01 with 71k on the clock looked like it had the original pads and rotors.

Front pads were about 1/64th of meat left and the back ones were at around 1/8" of meat.

So I said need a new starting point and changed the pads and rotors all the way round.

So how do I get the three amigos to go?

Its nice seeing them but I wish they would leave. They are a pain to have around.

How do I get the codes cleared? How do you clear the abs code?

Is this a trip to a LR dealer?

Thanks
Richard

find an indie lr shop to read the abs codes or buy yourself an ABS amigo for $200. if you go to the dealer its minimum two trips one to diagnose one to clear thats $240. yes replace your pads and rotors. even if that is not the problem it would be nice to be able to stop

Default lr

yeah I've already done the pads and rotors.

Yes, it stops beautifully now.

I just need to figure out the codes i guess.

I guess it is time to call around.

Abs amigo? What is that?

You need to do a search of 3 Amigos to read what you want to know including information on the 3 Amigo's scanner.

Default 3 amigos

Yes I became quiet proficient on the three amigos over the weekend when the wife called to let me know about the lovely dash board lights.

I'll have a search on the scan tool.

Thanks

Yeah I've been humming and haring on that one this morning.

Does the hawkeye scan tool do all of that or is just LR specific stuff minus abs?

I'm gonna end up getting the a scan tool anyways so.

Hawkeye does ABS, way more than the ABS amigo can do. It better for $650 for one vehicle model.

Yeah for that price I was hoping it would get under the LR and fix it for me.

The hawkeye is a fun toy, I have one. Has not quite paid for itself yet, but almost.
