I guess because I want to and think it would look better. I don't drive the truck everyday and I'm not really worried about the gas mileage. If I was I would've bought a Ford fiesta....instead I bought the truck that runs off Ford fiestas and the tears of hippies!........stupid hippies

i just installed lt245/75/16 firestone destinations (today infact) and they look really god to me. so far, great on road performance, and i went up a pretty steep hill infront of my house just to see, and no slippage, no t/c light at all. didnt even put it in low. just crawed right up... here is a pic if the side and the front rim area

In the photo 255/70/16 on the rear and 255/65/16 (stock size) on the front. No lift. Trying to decide which rims to go with... hence different wheels front and back.
go with the rear rims, then you can sell me the front ones. i had a spare like that rim, but couldnt find a full set to match it and went with the ones in my previous post. oh well. someday i wil have a set like your front ones. i believe those were the ones that came with my dII. but i like the ones i have, and got them for a really good price, so.,

I liked my Destination A/Ts when i first got them too (on my F150) until about 10K miles then they just became annoying! Ride quality dropped, and extremely loud. They do a good job gripping on dirt, mud and snow , they don't do too well on ice though as they are a fairly hard compound.

I just mounted some Falken Wildpeak ATS on the Disco, havent taken it off road and only have about 10 miles on them so far, but the ride quality seems to be great so far, much better than my Hankooks that were on it

I'm probably going to go with the treadwrights. I've only heard good things about them and the technology seems to be pretty sound. My only question is: the tire's i'm looking at are either going to be like 10 ply or 6 ply. What's the ride difference like and do I need to worry about riding on a 10 ply tire?
