Drummer, your trucks Bonita Gray. just like mine , not dark gray.
I LOVE that color on a Disco!

Same thing with gas here down I-40 in Greensboro. Lines around the corner, limiting gas to $10 a purchase!!! My Rover would run for a about 10 minutes on $10 worth of gas. It was a bad Friday here in NC....

We are slowly but surly getting gas back, but the problem is everyone is rushing to fill up because they are running low after the weekend, so stations are still running out, its pretty clear that they arent getting full deliveries yet. Gas is going to be lower than it was before all this happened because oil keeps going down. I have made a prediction that gas will be between $2.99-$3.05 (in NC)by the time the election gets here. Write it down, thats my prediction.

I can only hope...I've been cleaning/swapping/replacing all summer to get the Blazer back up to the 15 mpg range...she dropped to 10 city for a while [&o].

I was a little annoyed today...filled up at $4.10 at NCSU's campus, then got to my parent's house 15 miles away, gas was $3.90 [:@]

Well something sure is shut down from Ike, gas is 4.00 but it doesn't matter because we can't get any, or so they say, but 90% of stations in my county are dry or just letting one car have ten gallons orhavejust one kind, some have been without gas for more than a week. Frustrating because I just got back from Arizona and their gas was around 3 bucks or so.

Our situation has gotten worse over the past two days actually... Only two stations had gas last night and todayand it seemed like the whole city rushed out to get gas, they had to shut down a lane of traffic outside both stations because it was a total mad house. The main problem is, we are running the stations empty as soon as they get a supply in and the slowed tanker movement is the problem. Some people are being stupid and filling up two cars and starting the pump twice to get over the limit. I am sitting on half a tank right now so I HOPE we get some soon because there is no way I am waiting 30 mins for gas.

Here is a bit from our news....

Gas Shortage Continues

Getting gas continues to be almost impossible for many drivers, more than a week after Hurricane Ike.

Many stations are still out and drivers want to know why.

A lot of people are still waiting in long lines at gas stations on Merrimon Avenue.

Traffic spilled out into the street as people waited for gas, many of them waiting about half an hour.

The station limited gas to $50 per customer.

Managers said they ran out of gas, but filled up overnight, and another tanker stopped by late this morning while News 13 was there.

AAA says the shortage is a problem all over the south because we share a pipeline that is not back to capacity, after stopping production twice for the hurricanes.

When at capacity, AAA says the pipeline transports at a rate of about four miles per hour.

They expect the situation to return to normal within about a week.

Do any of you guys have more than one car? Do you stock up on gas when you know there is going to be a problem?

When gas hit $3.50 I bought 50 gals and stuck it in the garage. Treated it with Sta-bil and used that to suppliment our gas in both cars.
Have you guys thought about that whenit is hurricane season?
Or buying a $300 Geo that you can throw insurance on once or twice a year when gas is short?
I dont know, just a thought.

I'm thinking that I should be driving a fuel truck right now. Sounds like there could be a need for more tankers on the road delivering fuel.

In the UK they add LP tanks to their Disco's. Flip a switch and you can run on LP, which you can get at U-Haul or any other place that sells it. Flick the switch back and run on gas.
