Default trans. filter change?

I have had this kit for a while got it at roverparts.com. Anyone have any insight on replacing this filer? I have never messed with trannys very much, other than checking/changing fluid. It doesn't look like much in the manual, but with what little experience small things always get in the way.

There is a good writeup with pics at Discoweb.org. Go to the tech section then scroll down to transmission disco2. God luck.

I haven't done it yet, but for the D1 you need to remove a portion of the exhaust and the frame crossmember before you can drop the pan. Also the drain plug on the D1 takes a 5mm rather than the 8mm on the D2s.
