I was browsing the web re LR's, like ya do, and came across this... Roverdrive LT230 T-Case Oil Cooler Cover - Defender Source ..... now I'm NOT SURE if this fits the V8 D2 but I thought I would mention it anyways. It may possibly give extra cooling and adds another 0,5 litres of oil into the TX box. It also looks more substantial that the original LR sump plate.

 

I have seen these before and have considered it, but after looking at some installed pictures I decided against it.

I could be completely wrong but it looks to me that it might actually make the T-Case temps higher as it sits really close to the exhaust and I thought it might make it easier for a rock to smash your T-Case off-road, but I guess the cross member might stop that.
