If you ran your setup the engine vacuum would completely close the PCV vs it venting.
So you are saying swap the location of these two parts

Yep pic’s are in my sticky, but the FV308 goes on the plenum side.

Take the FV308 and place the threaded part in your mouth and suck. You’ll have air flow, now turn it around and try to suck & you’ll have nothing. You must have it in the direction where air flows thru it.

You said you bought head bolts and washers to replace the ones that snapped; did you not buy a full set?
The head bolts are stretch/ torque to yield bolts, and need to be replaced as a set, or as a set of head studs with nuts.

UPDATE
Another 2 hour
Torqued intake manifold
Installed valve covers
Installed coil packs
Installed plug wires
Swapped PCV308 and brass fittings
Installed Alt bracket

PENDING
Drill out nipple on radiator and replace with brass 1/4 nipple
Install upper plenum
Install SAI
Install brackets for AC and Power Steering
Install Cooling
Bleed Cooling
Start Truck and cross fingers

ISSUES
The flange bolts I got for the upper plenum were too short...need to find longer ones
Can't remember how to get the SAI pipes behind the upper plenum

I will post a list of tools, extra parts I purchased, and misc items I used after I wrap up everything, the AB video has helped out a lot and I have watched both multiple times taking notes.

UPDATE
6 hours today and everything is buttoned up
I have not tried to start the truck as I am adding coolant

ISSUE
Brass nipple on radiator started leaking so I cleaned up the hole and put some epoxy around the hold and on the threads. Waiting to give it another try in 35 minutes

UPDATE

Just got back from a shake down run

1. Exhaust manifold is leaking on drivers side or could be SAI. Will wait till tomorrow after truck cools down
2. Hose to heater core has a pin hole leak probably caused by me during the HG replacement, I can pick up a few feet of hose from the auto parts store tomorrow
3. Got (2) pending codes P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow A Circuit Range/Performance & P0505 Idle Air Control System. Could be the truck telling me WTF did you do. I will clear them and see if they come back. After further reading, I believe this is due to the exhaust least.

No other issues present at the moment. I will sort out these items
