Regarding the brake servo vacuum line connection at the upper intake, ten years ago I fabbed a solution after breaking the red collar after I first broke the vac line and then the red collar while lying face-down on top of the engine changing the ignition wires.
I happened to have a bag of Radio Shack vinyl grommets lying around. I found one into which the line fit snugly, then sliced it with a razor blade as closely as possible to one side of its center channel. It fit neatly into the upper intake fitting and sealed it effectively. I'm confident it would have worked well indefinitely, but a couple years later I found a good red collar on a boneyard truck and restored the setup to stock.
UPDATE
Drove 22 miles and truck ran like a champ
After sitting for 4 hours started the truck up and idle was rough and got P0101 & P0505, cleared the codes
Drove 18 miles and turned the engine off and got P0101 & misfire on multi cylinders & misfire on cylinder 3
I am going to start by replacing the MAF with a different one and see if the issue continues (Best4x4 can you PM me about price)
Next Steps
If MAF does not solve the issue, I will put old MAF back and replace IAC
Looks the same, if it fits, then all you have left is to blow through it to make sure it flows in the correct direction.
I blew a full cigar through it doing a smoke test, almost passed out...if it is the wrong size, that could be why the MAF is saying WTF and the IAC is freaking out like a squirrel on crack
