Truck is a 2003 DII LEV. I replaced the SAI solenoid, so my p1415 code is gone for good. I'm still getting the p1412 on cold starts. I tried Rapid Pass, the remote sensing drive through emission test in my state and the truck failed. No loophole there.

Not sure what my next best strategy is. Dump a bottle of "Guaranteed to pass" from Walmart and try Rapid Pass again or clean the SAI valve and try to pass the traditional route. My registration expires in a day or two. I have the slipped sleeve ping (seems manageable now), and the truck drives great with lots of pull otherwise. Coolant temps are around 201F in the summer and 194 on the highway.

Not much to go by from your post. Have you gone through fault finding/tests in manual? Starts on pdf page 277 in my download copy. Maybe something simple like linked thread.

I just looked up that rapidpass system, and it's interesting. What if you turned the engine off and coasted through? What if you're dripping oil onto the exhaust and that's contaminating your results? Seems pretty hokey, and I doubt that your SAI issue has anything to do with it, considering SAI is only active when you hear the pump running.

 

Its camera's are measuring acceleration as you accelerate through (they put them on the on ramps). If you try to coast through, you have zero chance of passing. But then neither does my 1960s Buick engine.
