$2.99! Wish that were still the case.
No pun indended
either?

In other news, got my "catch can" installed and she seems to be doing her job.
Hose Y can double your capacity at the end of your day.

Don't forget or take too long to replace the hobbled together T you pictured.

Haha, no pun intended. Didn't notice till you pointed it out.

Y-ing into the expansion tank can, yes, increase your capacity. Not double, but maybe an extra gallon. I'd say a bit less than that judging by what this setup took. That extra capacity doesn't help you a ton, though, because it's not being circulated through the system.

You're right on the tee. I wouldn't exactly recommend it to anyone. That said, she's holding fine for now and easy to bypass if it fails in a pinch. I'll ride her like that for a while. It's actually a lot more sturdy than it looks, even taking thermal expansion into consideration.

I thought two 12oz PBR cans were only 24 oz? Were no you find the growler size pop top PBR cans?

Looks sturdy and glad you provided info to procure a suitable one. Just saying if me and could get a real T without braking my bank it would be here and installed ASAP. Think of the MPG increase if you removed the bypass spare and tools needed if it were to fail.

In order for it to be effective, the radiator should be holding the extra coolant. The extra tank really doesn't do much.

My mistake. I thought you meant the factory y with the expansion tank.

Yeah, not knowing where to get a good one is a big part of the reason I hadn't posted this up yet. You'd be surprised how hard it was to find. I just ran across it randomly in a link found in another thread on here.

Yep, that comes to an inch and a half so 38mm it is. I'll edit the write up to reflect the metric measurement as well as the standard measurement.

Just love this post...
I plan on keeping the upper hose/cover as factory as poss. Will have to notch the cover some I suspect, and adapt from 1-3/4" Camaro to 1-1/4" LR. I will probably delete the reservoir tank, relocate the windshield wiper fluid tank, and put a catch tank where the windshield wiper fluid tank is now...
Fun stuff!
