Yep. A partially blocked radiator can do that. And you will think things are just fine because you have faith in the instruments. Rover electrical engineers must not be let out of the cubicals very often to play with the toys they built. No feedback loop.

+1 on that alarm. Even if I press the down button to dismiss it, it still beeps. So I just disabled it.

The alarm can be adjusted to any temp you want. I believe all the alarms can be adjusted to your liking.

And, here's a plug for this gauge. I really like it a LOT! Very inexpensive, and it looks MUCH better in person than pictures show you. I wish I had known about it a long time ago. I'd have had one in many of my previous vehicles.

I have not mounted it yet. It's sitting in front of my HI-LO lever at the moment. I'm trying to figure out how to mount it and my GPS together. Also hoping to add wireless charging for my Nokia Lumia 920 phone. I just want it all to look as clean and factory as possible with hidden wires.

Early warning system for over heating creeping in. Lots of trucks make the same trip every day to the salt mines, and if it running 20F hotter than two days ago, I wonder why. If you can pick up on it before it gets out of hand it can be a cheap fix.

You don't want your truck smokin'
