Default valley pan gasket

just a quick question does the valley pan gasket come in the head gasket kit i bought from AB? Also wondering if i should replace my oil pan gasket while Im doing the head gaskets and how intense is the replacement on a DII? Anybody has any words of wisdom or advice before i start my head gasket job i would appreciate it...

That depends on which kit you bought.
You bought new head bolts too yes?
I would replace the valley pan gasket, you are already in there and it is cheaper to do it now than later.

Words of wisdom?
I have no wisdom, but best of luck to you.

make sure you read and then reread the entire shop manual procedure. Draw out an outline and take notes as you go along. Label hose ends and sensors with tape so you know how everything goes back together. As you remove parts put them in bins and keep them organized. I put the bolts off of each part in sandwich bags and labeled them. Clean everything up as you go along. Keep track of your pushrods what number they are and their orientation. Clean them up too. Do not let anything fall down into the engine valley or cylinders and be left there. Run a strong magnet over them just to be sure. Use some 5w30 oil to lube up the push rods and valve train when you are putting things together.

For tools get a good metric impact socket set. Also get a 12 sided 8mm socket for the valve covers. You will need a good breaker bar to get the head bolts off. A good set of wobble and impact extensions are a must as is a good articulated ratchet.

With the full head gasket set you do get a valley pan gaskets well as the intake manifold gasket.
