Default Verify a wire please? Alt wire?

Having a hard time finding an answer... putting my sons 03 Disco back together and have one random wire that is brown with yellow stripe. It's right by the alternator small stud, so pretty sure it goes there. But there is no eyelet, so before I put a crimp connector on and toss it on the alternator can anyone help confirm please?

The D2 electrical library confirms the alternator trigger wire as being brown/yellow. Looks like yours has pulled out of its ring terminal.

Yep. Just took mine off this weekend. If you look closely it is brown/yellow behind the tubing.
