Does this vibration happen or change when the Sport Drive is on, how about when the t/case is in low gear? Also, do you have a check engine light on with a tranny code?

No lights on the dash and there hasnt been for quite a while now. She shifts fine, just vibrates in high end 3rd gear and at freeway speeds. Im going to pull the shaft and drive without it hoping to eliminate the vibe. No change in sport mode also. I haven't tried low range.

Also, the tire balance was a good idea, im glad i was reminded, for tire maintenance.

Im thinking its my driveshaft. When the first revuilt one failed (pretty violently) it took out the front diff and the output bearing in the tcase, i wouldn't doubt if it did a toll on the driveshaft.

have you checked the hubs, if you have a hub bearing failing it would give you a viberation

hubs have been checked, although they would also give a distinguishable bearing grinding/howling noise if failing. I have pinpointed it to the tcase or the driveshaft, it almost feels like the needle bearings in a u joint are flattened and that's what's causing the vibe. I bought a new spicer and will check it out today after I get home from class.

Did you get this figured out? I have a noise/vibration @ 50-57mph, but no steering wheel shake or seat vibration that would be typical of wheel balance. Just curious before I start a new thread...tcase, trans, and diff fluids replaced end of last summer as well as rebuilt prop shaft.
