What is the process of programming a SLABS unit with coils to be installed in a D2 with SLS?
Trying to help out a friend by mailing him both my Foxwell and Nanocom to fix his D2 problem. He is a Brit who has a Lynx diagnostic tester but I don’t think it delves into programming SLABS.
thanks in advance!

I have a Lynx, but it's just unlocked for a D1. The Lynx Website acts like it would program a D2 BCU/SLABS Unit though and if I had to guess it would be under their ABS then the "Special Programs" menu. With a Nanocom all you have to do is install the SLABS Unit, go to the SLABS Programming and enable/disable however you want it, and then save it. Then go back into it and verify the setting changed to the correct value.

Thanks @Best4x4 for explaining that. Is it the same process if the newer SLABS was from an SLS D2 going into another SLS D2? We are not certain if the newer SRD000150 unit actually came from a spring or SLS D2.

BTW... Long background story on this...
Through emails and phone calls the past month, I’ve been helping out a friend’s older uncle and his 2001 TD5 Disco 2. He’s always had crap braking, 3 Amigos and the ABS fault light. I bought the parts and made the Option B mod for him, mailed it to him and then walked him through how to install it on the ABS and bled the brake system with his Lynx Evo. That stopped the 3 Amigos and some what gave him better braking but he still as the ABS light lit up on the control panel.

I told him the basics of checking fuses, check the wiring at the SLABS unit and also check the SRD model number. To our surprise he still the very older SRD100462 SLABS unit! Figured that was the culprit, I shopped around for him and got him an SRD000150 SLABS unit which he installed.

This is where we are at now.... SRD000150 unit installed and ABS fault light still comes on. His Lynx Evo is showing conflicting info because sometimes it shows “Cannot communicate with ECU” and other times it shows "It is HIGHLY recommended that a new SLABS unit is used" and then offers the choice of stopping the change over or to fit another unit.
