Default Warning Lights on dash

Twice in the last 4 months the manual and sport mode lights have flashed when starting and will not stop until I restart. The manual says that this could indicate an electrical fault with the automatic gearbox. On previous occasions on the forum when I have had electrical faults somebody on here has had a similar problem and found a quick fix and I am hoping the same will be this time. I have included a quick shot of the offending lights. Thanks for looking

There are something like 14 faults that can trigger the flashing M & S lights. Without getting the transmission codes read it's impossible to know what's at fault. That said, low voltage is also a very common cause. Check the voltage with the truck running, or go to any one of the major auto parts stores and have your battery and charging system tested for free.

Thanks for that min01 New battery only couple of months ago and seems to charge fine but I will have it checked and also get the diagnostics checked to see if it throws anything up.

not sure if an ultragauge will read the transmission codes. a simple code reader probably isn't going to help too much but one of the loaner ones from an auto parts store might be able to pull them.
a corroded or misaligned xyz switch is another common cause of the flashing m&s lights.

Vacuum leaks in the airbox to throttle body host will toss them too, check all your hose clamps attached to that.

the second error would make me inclined to pull the xyz switch and clean it.

And try adjusting the XYZ Switch! Is it moisture related?
