Default Washer Fluid Motor Relay

The problem that I am having is that none of the nozzles for my windshield washer fluid spray any fluid. My wipers all work fine, but the fluid does not spray. I have checkde the fuses and they are all in good condition. I found what looks to be a relay attached to the passenger fender wall but have only found one place that sells them and have no idea what the part is called. Does anyone have any experience with this part or have a problem such as this? Its a '96 Disco. Thanks in advance.

P.S. the lines are not clogged since when I took off the one hose going to the front nozzle and blew it, fluid came out as well as flowed through the joint.

Have you cleaned out thw nozzles, have you checked for power to the washer pump?

Also, the front washers go through a tee in the line. That tee has a check valve in it that can become clogged. Open your hood and see if the pump runs when you pull the switch. If you can hear it, pull that tee and see if that is blocked. If the pump does not run, I think it goes through an MFU behind your fuse box. There is a way to test it, but I don't remember off the top of my head. I have a 97, but I think the 96's have it too.

Let us know what you find..

When I pull the handle, there is no sound coming from the motors at all. The nozzles are clean and flow fluid nicely but the motors just wont work. I find it hard to believe that all of them would stop working at the same time which leads me to beleive that this relay (?) is the most likely culprit.

They don't all work from the same switch, one only works when the head light are on along with your wipers, one only works if you activate the rear washer switch.

What if your wipers work but are jerky or tend to get stuck? Is there a way to oil/lube the motor with some kroil oil or is it pretty much sealed and you have to get a replacement?

Thanks, was getting something else from Paul Grant and he said the same. Excellent guy and most reasonable prices I have seen. Great guy to get parts from.
