Default Water pump?

OK, haven't had the pressure test done yet, but I'm reasonably sure that my water pump is about to bite the dust. My question is this, AB has two water pumps listed on their site, one is OE, the other is not. What is the difference, if any? Is the extra $60 odd dollars for the OE worth it? Thanks in advance.

The sale on both is up tomorrow. I would buy the OE myself. I'm keeping an eye on mine too.

Thanks as always Mike. Are there any real differences? I only ask because I may be able to order the OE locally for the same price as the aftermarket from AB, it'll just take a little longer to get. I am wanting to know if there is a particular reason that I should get the OE over aftermarket if they are basically the same price.

If you can get an OE water pump for $100 go for it. Order me one too while you are at it.

Carquest. My local Carquest quoted me one through Worldpac, which will be OE, for $107 with no shipping, only problem is they are on backorder right now. I'm having the pressure test done tomorrow to determine for sure that is the problem before I proceed with placing an order anywhere.

That price sounds too good to be true, probably why it is on backorder. Did they say how long to deliver?

Anyhow wait to see the results of your pressure test, why do you suspect your water pump? I'm trying to track down an elusive leak myself. Mine actually passed a pressure test and I have not seen the leak since.

I can see evidence of leakage after the truck has sat overnite, and I took it to have it pressure tested last week, but they didn't have the right adapter to fit my truck. The guy at the garage crawled up underneath and looked and said he could see evidence of a leak near the front center of the engine, and most likely that was the water pump preparing to fail.
