2004 Discovery II. Recently replaced the water pump (leaking from weep hole) and have been happy with the result. I was breaking down cardboard boxes today and low and behold -- another water pump gasket at the bottom of the box! The replacement pump was from Rovers North (https://www.roversnorth.com/parts/st...ter_v8_genuine) (photo below) and apparently came with 2 gaskets (pictured). The gasket I did *not* install is red on one side, black on the other -- and looks exactly like the one I scraped off the timing cover. The gasket I did install looks like paper. I put a thin coat of Aviation Form-A-Gasket #3 on both sides of it before installing the pump. No leaks -- should I be worried about this? If I'd seen both I would have definitely used the red/black gasket as it better resembles the one that was there.
