Default water pump hose.... a pain to get on.

I have all the others hose on except the water pump hose. Is it me or is the water pump hose on my 02' Disco the most difficult to get on? I spent 2hrs. trying yesterday until my arms and fingers hurts. Guess I'll start over. ugh. I can't believe this.

If you spent 2 hours doing that I would state the obvious and make sure you have the right part and its the right connection.

It's just one of those things you have to work at. Usually taking it off is the harder part... Move the clamp away from the lip. If its too old consider replacing it (60k miles). Maybe stick something inside it to expand it a bit.. I dunno, just keep at it.

You may want to try lubing the inside of the hose with some silicone spray to make it easier to install, assuming it's the correct part etc..

Default Hmmmm...

Looks like the right part. The other hoses (lower kit) fit perfect, thermostat, heater core, fill tank... It's getting into the mouth of the water pump that I'm having a tough go at. I did this same hose three weeks ago when I replaced the radiator. The hosing on the lower kit was crack so Lucky8 sent a new one. I've been trying get the new one on since yesterday. Having a tough time.. My arms are sore and tired. Lubed it up first thing. It's the alignment plus I can't see where its going since it's way low. I just took it all off and am starting over. Will try putting the water pump hose on first and then the others. Maybe that's my problem.
Thank you all for the input!

BINGO!! Okay, I took the lower hose kit out and started over. Putting the water pump hose on first rather than last was key. The heater core hose, left of the pump, kept getting in the way but I eventually got it and the pump hose in. Amazing! I hope this helps someone else who found it tricky. Thanks everyone!! Happy Holidays to you all!
