Way to cool the intake temps?
#11
only aftermarket option is a snorkel kit, or fab up your own. you could also install some heat barriers, ie.wrap your exhuast headers, ir reflective insulation on the airbox tube, bypass the throttlebody coolant lines, remove the airbox and put a hiflow cone filter one and box it in so it pulls air from the old drain port hole at the wheel well... just make sure you fab up a blocker so the wheel doesnt chuck rocks/water etc up at the hole if its exposed... i cant remember if its infront of or behind the inner fender wheel well piece.

Couple options:
1) Cheap NOS kit - use smallest jet, 25hp or so - will drop intake temps 30-45 degrees.
2) Install a piece of copper line coiled up in your airbox, and plumb a Co2 tank to it - shot of that will drop intake temps about 50-100F in short bursts.
3) Snorkel - takes no maintenance.
Stay away from cold air intakes - your MAF will become angry the first time it gets wet from them, and it WILL happen.
