Default Weird Noise Around Rear Wheel

Hey Guys,

I have a weird noise coming from/around (i believe) the passenger rear wheel.
Bear with me but it sounds like the noise from a spring mattress, like when your bumping and grinding (sorry kids). I can only hear it at low speeds What should I look for/replace? I want to mention that my rear diff is leaking fluid and it has been for a while but i will be taking care of that real soon but can this be related?

PS. I have a 2001 Disco

Jack up wheel and turn it. Wheel bearings not cheap in a D2. If you have low diff fluid and keep running it you will have even larger repair costs. Have you been keeping the leaking diff topped up?

Is it only when you go over a bump? It could just be the springs making noise. Stand on the bumper and try bouncing the car, see if you can replicate the noise.

Also, Check your lug nuts.

EDIT: If it's the springs making noise, don't worry about it, it's what they do...

Good Idea S.Buzz I'll try that. No, I havent been keeping it topped off, feel free to scold me. You've managed to put the fear in me, so I will take care of it ASAP.

Alan, Im 99% positive its not the springs but will check anyway cause you never know and the lugs too.
