i seemed to have had a blown head gasket - lots of white smoke - temperature sometime for a few m onets going up to 210 but then going down to 200 + -
i thought of having HGs resplaced but
decided to try a fix and ....... no more white smoke - took about 25 minutes
after that fix the temperature gauge went up to the highest mark under the red mark when idling for traffic lights.
while driving it went down again. so i am thinking air in the coolant circuit and or clogged radiator (= i ordered a new radiator last night) the thermostat must be working cause the hoses build up pressure.
any other device that could get clogged??
i have DashCommand with ELM327 but, of course, the domelights went out, sometime yesterday, with that the radio is out, the digital clock only shows a green light and a weak black line, and more important the OBDii connector has no electrical. i was looking and found the relais (2 i think) and will replace them - testing showed weird results.
any input i can get from any of you gentlemen? thanks in advance!!!

FYI the obd2 was working fine till yesterday morning and i was in almost euphoric cause the diagnostics showed all green flags and no errors were showing up

It's weird, both of our rovers bled out fine, just filled - with bleeder cracked, ran/drove them with heat on high until operating temps, let them cool down, rechecked and refilled at reservoir - with bleeder cracked again. Good heat and no noise afterwards. Had waterfall noise for the initial ride, as pulling out of the drive...but nothing after that.

Sometimes I wonder if there is some sort of blockage going on in these hard to bleed ones? Or maybe a bad reservior cap, not allowing the system to properly pressurize?

Brian.
My truck makes the waterfall noise almost every time I pull out of my driveway, is this not normal than? Lol

Use the green coolant...
and you need to bleed. If you were close I'd do it for you.

Waterfall is air.

Default no radio, no obd2 power, no clock, no dome lights, no remote locks

FUSE 20 TWENTY was the culprit....... one 15 Amp fuse, just one fuse.....
