So after a nice day on the trails i popped a tire and it took 6 hours to replace due to these stupid aluminum caps on the lugnuts that the 6 point wont take off so me and my buddy's had to break then all off the wheel and on top of all that my land rover jack was broken so we had to find a jack that could lift it high enough to get the spare on. we did this in soft mud id say it was a success besides being stuck for 6 hours

Neither one of my tire tools that came with mine fit the lugnuts. Pretty frustrating when you're stranded in the middle of nowhere.

After the first time though I bought 2 breaker bars and 2 craftsman impact 1-1/16 sockets. I leave them in my back door compartment and they've come in pretty handy. When I go to a tire shop for anything I make them use my socket, just have to make sure and get it back afterward.

Lucky for me arkansas is full of people with rather large trucks that were able to help me with the tire and pull me out of the ditch with there winches. other than that my vehicle suffered no damage and the jeeps we were with also got stuck in a ditch and i was the only one able to pull them out because their winch couldn't get each other out. the 2013 jeep GC blew out something on its 4wd

Also does TC make noise when its doing its thing. id hear this buzzing from the instrument cluster every time it would kick in and when id let of the gas my break pump hard. is something wrong or is that just TC

Yes...it's the ABS transferring power.

Land Rover is metric - 27 mm 6 point. I keep an impact wrench and a socket in the truck, makes it easy.
I'd also recommend periodically taking the spare on and off. When I first got mine it had seized and it took my mechanic with a torch to get it off. It was frightening to see big force being applied to that door mount too.
I'll take mine off whenever I switch summer/winter tires from here on in.

As for capabilities - I'm still stock and have yet to find her limits. But blown away where she'll go. Went through water over the hight of the tires, calmly and with aplomb (threw a few codes for a while, eventually went away after a few resets). Still haven't found a trail that even challenges her. Love the HDC; it's like magic.

That said, got to be careful about smashing the front bumper on obstacles, it's way too low hanging and fragile.

i think I'm going to get one of those jacks not sure what they are called but they are like a tall post that dig into mud.

275/65/18 Will fit without a lift...they did on mine, they definitely rubbed on everything when turning though.

Is that the Hi-Lift jack you're thinking about?
