Changed water pump and v fan clutch on the '01. Just trying to get idle temps below 190

I bought the 3M kit to polish the headlamps after you made me sooooooo envious of yours . Now I've finished the driveshafts and oil service I'm gonna have an easy day tomorrow and polish my headlamps and hopefully get the same results as yours . I'll post how I get on with the job.

Below 190? Mine idles around 200-203 even at speed will not get below 194. Just changed the water pump & put a 185 deg thermostat on about a month ago. May need to change the fan clutch and check the system for air again....

 

For the past week I've had my rig decorated for the season complete with a talking skull on the front bumper and Mr. Bones as my passenger. I've had some really funny looks from people in other cars as the pass me and realize who my passenger is!

 

203 is not crazy bad or anything. I will settle in the 190's if need be. but my '00 will not go above 188 unless I shut it off, then it rises. both have 180 t-stat and original radiators.
