What fans did you go with and did you use a thermo switch to control them?

Been thinking of doing the same down the road so I'm really interested in the details.

Yep, I have it hooked to a coolant temperature switch in like on the radiator hose. Also the fan is from a 1999 Impala Police package. Relatively the same as any dual fan setup from any 3800 powered car, but heavier duty for police use. Perfect fit for the Disco too.

Police package Impalas can be hit or miss though. Any "W-body" care around that year range will have relatively the same fans however. Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, regular Impala, Buick Regal/Century, etc...

Installed used cup holders and a new style brake light switch. Also ordered parts for an oil pressure gauge and researched a front driveshaft replacement.

I created more work for myself... Not happy.

I decided since it was over 50 degrees today, I would replace my power steering return hose. I pulled the ac/ace/ps bracket to get to the clamp on the bottom of the ps pump. The bracket fell form where it was propped up and hit the radiator putting a hold in it.

I started following the RAVE to pull the radiator out of my 99 parts DII and my 00 DII , I got the the trans/oil cooler lines. What a PITA. Searched and found some tips that I can separate the coolers form the radiator in the DII. I will try to finish tomorrow.
Hopefully the radiator out of my parts DII will still have me running at 194 degrees.
