I flipped mine while I was at SCARR and only used the 4 bolts. I have 265/75/16 and it was fine on the trails and the long a$$ drive home. Stayed that way a couple of weeks before I drilled the holes.

However Justin just posted a new product he carries. Sure is a lot easier and less painful.

Dropped the headliner off at the upholstery shop.

Also dipped into the throttle more than 50% today. Yea. It sounds a hell of a lot better than it moves.. lol

Finally got around to doing the PS Pump replacement. On the whole, everything went as planned. I am 100% a backyard/weekend warrior mechanic and I seem to have pulled it off with lots of swearing and the wonderful YouTube video.

Only problem I had was that the holes to reattach the PS pump to the engine bracket didn't line up properly. I was only able to get 2 out of 3 bolts through. I had somewhere to be, so I just buttoned things up and headed out. Everything seems to be working beautifully (and the engine is so quiet now). However, I'm dreading taking things apart again. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on leaving just 2 out of the 3 bolts? I'd really love to not have to take out the PS pump, get a replacement that's better engineered, and then swap everything out, if I don't have to.

@Zeroone... What kind of pricing did you get to have the headliner done. A few years back I was told $600 from someone and just never looked again as I wouldn't spend anything close to that... that included me just dropping my truck off where they'd have to uninstall the headliner too. I see people doing it themselves, but don't think I'm up for that right now.

I had the same thing happen with the after market pump I bought. I took Dremel with a sanding attachment and ground down a little bump in the aluminum bracket that the pump mounts in. It was hitting just enough to keep the bolts from lining up.

The spot I had to grind down was right Here:

I just payed $200 to a local guy, Did a great job. I looked at the replace headliner sticky and the supplier of the fabric wants close to $100 just for the material, so $200 seemed like a great deal. The only bummer is I forgot to stick around and inspect the sunroof drains, now my headliner gets a little wet when it rains...

My father and I did this job and he had a bolt that we were able to thread from behind that wedged it in place. I would not use the intended bolt for this purpose, but if you can find an old one you are willing to sacrifice it worked for us. Was really frustrating getting everything apart and not have the PS Pump fit easily.

I got the mounting brackets in the mail today and installed the hand me down brush guard. Thanks again Ralph! I like how the truck looks with a brush guard on it even if it is a factory guard. I will keep this one until I find a craigslist ARB or some other steel winch bumper and then pass it on to the next lucky D2 owner.
