He took us on an all day trip up into the mountains and went through several of those passes... although we did not take the trail over to Telluride, we went the long way around.
funny thing, I rented a brand new rubicon unlimited while there. I thought the girls would love to have the top off and I wanted to check one out. sudden rain showers queered the deal, but I did get to try out the jeep a bit....i'll stick with the disco.

Default Busy Day

Well had a sudden oh sh*t moment. Started the truck up, went and got my son to put him in, go back out to the truck and there is oil pouring out the bottom of the engine. Cut the truck off and had to wait for the wife to get home so she could watch the baby. Discovered the oil filter had come loose from the recent oil change I had done. So disco got another oil change after 500 miles. Tightened the k&n down with a wrench this time. On the bright side went ahead and ordered two Guard Dogs. I will order two more next time I get paid. Can't wait to test these out at Uwharrie.

that is some dangerous stuff. a few years back, I rebuilt the engine in one of the work trucks ( a cool 4x4 econo van ) over tightened the filter. put 900 miles on it before it squeezed out the o ring and seized up while one of my guys was cruising down the road ignoring the dummy light. guess he did not think he was in that category

Yeah I didn't try to over tighten, just hand tightened like before the put a quarter turn with a wrench to make sure it didn't wiggle loose again.

Nice! I would say that the home or lodge in the last pic on post #2072 would NOT be a good choice for a sleepwalker.

amazing pics, keep em coming!
