That trip looked awesome! Welcome back to the frying pan we call home. How many miles did you put on the Disco?

Funny that I have lived in Denver my whole life and never ventured to that part of the state. Looks like a great trip.

Jared, thanks. already in the pan.....sitting on side of the road with duct tape and a sawzall because my work truck decided to welcome me back by seizing up the right front wheel, in the ghetto. managed to get to a parking lot......."chicken'n things, Chinese fast food"
yummy yummy

right at 2900 miles......enough for an oil change. besides plugging a tire.... no problems, at all.

groeder, we had planned on heading up towards Denver. I've been around there, a bit, but really just way to much to see in the tell. area for the time frame. next year we will do Denver area then back down. prolly, have to stretch into a 2.5-3 week trip, let the girls pan for fools gold in cripple creek and all that.

Quick question for you guys. Does removing the fan clutch to replace the water pump accelerate the wear of the part?

I know that my fan clutch is still good but I've been experiencing slight overheating and the only 2 parts I haven't replaced in the cooling system is the waterpump and fan clutch. Oh and the radiator as well.

Finally installed a new radiator and 180 deg thermostat. Previously the Ultra Gauge showed 221 degrees after about 15 minutes of idling. Now I am showing 197 degrees after 30 minutes of idling.
I am going out on the trails for the weekend so against my better judgment, I put the cracked fan back in (what could go wrong).
The new fan was supposed to arrive this week but didn't. So much for 2 day shipping.

You are a casino's dream customer. That sure is a big/expensive risk you are taking. The rover gods like to punish those that challenge them. Good luck
