What did you do with your DII today?
My new Magnecor 8mm ignition cables arrived this morning at 9:30. Started the job at around 11:00 am and finished at 3:00. I didn't pull off the manifold so it wasn't the easiest thing in the world, but luckily I have relatively small hands. Getting the damn SAI pipe in and out was probably the hardest part.
All in all, it seems to have fixed my misfire and now the truck runs like a dream.

Reached the half way mark on my overwhelming project. Never rebuilt an engine, but am having a blast with it! Decided while everything was down to the block, I would do the oil pan gasket and replace the oil pump gears since I'm in the VIN Range. Pulled the gears out and there it was. A Crack in the outmost gear.
I also painted my Valve Covers a nice shade of black, and am replacing coil packs, plugs, and wires with Magnacore 8.5mm wires.
So tomorrow I start on reassembling everything!

What socket sizes should I have ready to go?
To break the crank bolt free, I shoved a 2x4 up into a counterweight. You HAVE to pull the sump to take the front cover off, so that was my option. If you leave the belts on, that might be the best of the two options.
One quick way to drain some coolant is to pull the bottom right bolt on the Water Pump.
Also and VERY IMPORTANT, the screws that hold the oil pickup plate were EXTREMELY difficult to remove and I actually ended up stripping one. So now I'm trying to find a bolt store that carries one.
Best of luck! If I remember anything else I will let you know! PM me if you have any questions!
you will also want a posi-drive #3 bit to remove the screws holding the oil pump retainer.
you can you a regular #3 driver but the posi-drive holds so much better with no fear of stripping the screws.
