I was expecting the job to take longer, but I admit, I have 45 years experience working on vehicles and machinery. Just never Land Rovers.

Looks like I know who to call if I break down when I'm down in Austin next month!

replaced my front prop shaft with a Lucky8 one, recharged my K&N filter, looked over the rest of the underside and found out my control arm bushings are about to go and saw some slight cracking on my rotoflex along with my U joints on the rear prop shaft are starting to look a little sketch as well and found out my O2 sensors might be the 1171/1170 code that keeps popping up, on the upside the CD changer started to work and I think I might have found the lift kit that I'd like to put on ole deb along with a breather kit and a snorkel kit too

Default my D2 day...

The dealer came and dropped it off after changing out a wheel bearing (for free, mind you... which is great) and then we went to the airport... and there she sits!!

Good friend down the road has a lift in his awesome shop where he works on his GTO and 50-something Chevy pick-up. Told me I can come by and use it anytime I want. Got the '03 Disco up on it and changed the oil (Castrol GTX 10w-40) and filter (Mobil-1 301) for the first time since I bought it last week and found that it's leaking oil around the front, either from the oil pan or the front cover. I'll have to deal with that sometime, but hey, you all know what they call a LR that doesn't leak, right? I also added about a half a bottle of Lucas Oil for good luck.
The front shaft is still the original; no squeaks, no play, and in remarkably good shape, but ordered a new one from lucky8 yesterday anyways. Hopefully it won't get lost in the snow between up there and down here. When the snow lets up and we get a couple of consecutive days of sunshine around here I'm going to detail the outside. Maybe I'll figure out how to do some before/after pics.

Tried to unsuccessful bleed the air out of the cooling system it's had since a headgasket job. Now with the biggest snow in decades here I can only watch it sit in the driveway and use my Charger to get to work.

Kissed her up and down because she keeps me safe! After 20 some odd years of not having any vehicle incidents, I had 2 crack-ups over a span of two weeks. The accident 2 weeks ago was my fault (backed into my colleague's brand new Buick Verano - didn't see him in my blind spot), and today, not my fault, was rear-ended by a woman moving at a good clip as I sat at a stop sign waiting to turn left. Both incidents - damage to the other vehicle. Not one scratch to Bertha's bumper. My shoulders and neck are sore today from impact but my mind is at ease knowing that she keeps me safe.

I added an ARB front bumper to mine today. Still need to tweak it a little bit.
