Not today, but yesterday. My wife and I replaced the Camshaft Positioning Sensor. There are a handful of write ups online, and Lucky8 did a decent video of the process. All said and done it took us just under two hours. My wife's danty hands really helped when it came to getting the connector undone!

Camshaft position sensor? Or crankshaft position sensor? If camshaft what were the symptoms that caused you to replace it? Did you get the P0340 code?

Replaced my thermostat with the Roverparts grey 180* part and topped up with Peak coolant. It has made a HUGE difference. I was getting 218-220, and I haven't hit 200 since. Very pleased.

Next project is fixing my window that won't move.

Actually I have to relay what happened this week.
Tuesday - Bought a 2003 DII. On the way home the T-fitting to the 3 radiator hoses broke on the highway just 5 miles from where we bought it, 120 miles from home. Had it towed home. Finally back home at 3AM stiff drink and off to bed.
Wednesday. - Couldn't find a replacement, substituted a copper T-fitting. Tried to get it through emissions. No go, misfire number 4 cylinder. My son and I fixed the hinges on the back door that were bent from some unknown reason.
Thursday - detailed the exterior - got two years worth of dirt and grime from sitting for two years. Went to a U-pull it where there was a wrecked 2000 Disco. Pulled off bits and bobs and the trailer hitch.
Friday - went back to junk yard and got the brackets for the trailer hitch that I couldn't get off the day before and the air conditioner compressor.
Today - Replaced the dreaded spark plug wires, with the instructions found on the forum here.
Now I'm up to date.

Did replacing the wires help you pass emissions?

Actually haven't had a chance, the test sites are closed on Monday, so I'll try tomorrow and let you know what happened.
