Default New Tires!

Finally... after driving around for far too long with undersized tires after my lift was installed, I am happy to say that I "finally" have the tires I wanted. I was sold on these after driving (multiple times) a BF Goodrich tire test track up on the Biltmore Estate grounds during the Overland Expo East (this past October). Before then I probably spent way too much time "researching" tires... "reading" tire thread debates. In the end "driving" is what sold me.

The reason that they turn yellow is because the protective coating on them from the factory gets worn off and the UV rays from the sun then make them discolored. The lenses need to have a coating on them or they will just turn yellow again.
How long before the yellowing sets in? What does the factory use? Is there a product available to prevent the future yellowing? Thanks

Not much to see. You gain about 1.5 inches. You have to drill the middle holes out as they're not centered. Taking out the interior panel I busted about half of the pronged fasteners. Might want to pre order new ones before tearing it apart. I didn't. I'll take before pics with the standard 255/55/18 tire remounted and then the new 265/65/18 tire as well. Tire is coming in tomorrow....

I also moved the rear wiper up 15-20* as suggested by a previous poster. The flip interferes with the bracket/ wiper setup.,

Or you can just not bother and only use four bolts!

Unfortunately I neglected to take photos, but today I flipped my spare tire carrier. I notched it for the rear wiper, and drilled some new holes so I could make use of all six mounting points.

This is the gain you get with the flip. Before the stock 255 nearly touched the bumper.
