Luckily found out this week that my driveshaft (front) has been previously rebuilt with greasable U-joints 😀. So, since I've had it for a little over 4,000 miles, I greased them all up!
I also did a seafoam treatment in the fuel, oil and throttle body. Still ticks, but runs much better and has a smoother acceleration

Built two relay panels, one went in the rear behind my circuit breaker panel and currently feeds my air compressors. I also added a long ground bar as I was running out of slots, and a shorter bus bar that is connected to the rovers stock cargo area cig plug, giving me a way to tap into switched power if I need it.

2nd is going to sit on top the fuse box in the engine bay and will connect up with the 5 cruise control switches I put into the binnacle.

I used 10 AWG for all the power connections, and 16 awg for the switch and ground wires.

Since my lovely wife is allowing me 1 hour a day (after I get home from work) to work on "Myrtle", I finally installed the 3 D1 windscreen wipers with Trico Force wipers on my 2001 Disco. Very easy to remove and install with a 1/2" socket.
I also got as far as to remove the subwoofer assembly from the rear hatch door to reinstall new Pyle PLG64 6.5" woofers.
I'll have to finish it up during tomorrow's 1 hour session.

Installed a new belt tensioner.
Installed a new Airtex waterpump.
Installed a new fan clutch.
Installed new fan blades on the new fan clutch.
Installed a 180F thermostat.
Insured the Disco. Registered the Disco. Bolted on the new license plate. This bad boy is street legal now.

What a day!

Installed 3" HD Terrafirma Springs, Fox Shocks, Steering Stabilizer, Terrafirma Panhard Bar, and relocated the front swaybar links to the rear.

With any luck I'll get the 4.11 diffs and ebc brakes installed.
New 3" Springs and Fox 2.0's

Front Stabilizer & Panhard Bar

Engine bay relay panel! Hoping to add some front floods and a LED bar in the near future.

That's a nice ride.
I'm curious about the radiant barrier under the hood.
I know insulation helps with starting in cold weather.
But, I would think that reflective material would cook the engine, especially as hot as these things normally run.
Have you noticed a difference in under hood or operating temperatures?
Thanks

After dropping in a Turner 4.6 a couple weeks ago, then replacing my driver's door motor and regulator last weekend, I had my rear left caliper seize up and smoke today. Luckily, a local repair facility was able to get one within hours and install it. $200 with labor. Kind of sucks. Now, due to glazing the pad and rotor, I'm replacing the other rear caliper as preventive and installing new rotors and pads in the rear. Also doing extended brake hoses front and rear with a full bleed. It never ends....

hard to say exactly, as when I put that in I also rebuilt the engine, replaced all the cooling components, etc.
my temps are pretty good though, 190-194 freeway, 203 at idle in socal.
