Tinkering with a transfer case. This one got busted up during shipping so I plan on messing around with it and to practice on until my new one arrives.
The goal is to rebuild it (not this one) with new bearings, HD cross pin, and 1.41 hi gears. Don't really know what I'm doing but I think I'll figure it out. The only thing I'm worried about is the 2 dozen + LR specialty tools called out in the manual.

I drilled in some RAM mounts for the front dash. I first experimented with suction cups on the windshield for the center mounts, and while they suck (in a good way) they were too wobbly along the arms due to the distance. Suction works well for the left hand iphone mount.
I hardly even think twice about drilling holes in my rover at this point
iPad for GPS/navigation
iPhone for iphoning
Garmin Inreach for SOS/bluetooth gps for the iPad
And the third one will be for a HAM radio.
Not pictured: CB mic down below using another ram mount
Now my head is swimming in trying to figure out the best way to do CB and HAM antennas.
bonus: added aluminum rods to better support the handle on my solar panel frame. I pulled too hard and the frame separated from the panel. With these rods, the force is distributed to the opposite frame (and not the silicone glue holding the panel in) and bonus round: get to hang stuff while I cook

thanks Gerry. I actually tried to do that right haha and bought enamel paint and a paintbrush. Didn't turn out, but in the end, I agree, a little personalization is a good touch. Nothing against guys with pre-printed contura switches and SPOD's, but I like to do things myself. Sure its not as 'clean' in the end, but it's mine and I did it dammit!!

If u can cut and weld, u shud b able to make any tool u need! Buy cheap tools to modify into specialty tools.. Good luck, keep us updated, I'll be tackling my t-case soon too!

The pitman arm refuses to come off! Rrrrrrr! Bastid!
Why is it always something simple that causes the biggest headaches?
One of these days I'm going to stick to my word and quit working on cars!

Yep.
It moved, maybe 3/8", and that was it.
Thought the puller was literally going to break.
I talked to my Dad, and he came and got the box this morning.
He heated the arm and got it off. I was using propane.
He used acetolyne. So it obviosly needed more heat to persuade it to come off.
Considered setting it on fire.

we are all in the same boat. Im still figuring out no 6 misfire for a month now. Then i have to do my steering. Lol
