Did he try using his forks to get himself out? Weird that he wasn't able to get out of that situation.

Anyhow, all's well that ends well.

Brian.

He did. When he pushed them in to the ground and started to try to go back, they just came right up. It truly felt bottomless. We had 4 railroad ties in so he could lower the lift to raise the front tires off the ground so we could put rock and stuff under the wheels and let it back down, all the rocks just sunk in. And when they pulled me out, I couldn't even feel the ties or the rocks. I've never seen anything like it out here. But I didn't mention, it is only about 50-75 feet from a river, that was right at flood stage as well.

I finally replaced the ball joints with new ones that I bought off of eBay a year ago. What a PITA!!!
Reading the Rave manual and watching YouTube videos prepared me in completeing it.
The important thing to do is saturate the heck out of the ball joints days prior with penetrating oil (PB Blaster). Smack them with a mallet to work the oil in prior to removal. Or heat the arm with a torch but be ready for a flame from the burning penetrating oil.

So this brings up another question and I know it's been discussed before, but what brand of plugs are you using? I'm new to having a land rover, only about a year. What plugs came in the D2?

Oh, and stay warm!!!
