Received my Whiteline adjustable panhard rod today and ordered a Bilstein steering damper for ~$50 out of luck (hopefully). Continuing to amass parts for my suspension (and the rest of the truck).

New URO parts water pump...works great!
In-line thermo mod....amazing! temps now average 187 highway. Before they were 200-220 on the highway.

btw, anyone doing the water pump should be aware the cheap removal tools they sell on amazon are junk.

Put the old girl to work today.

Also forgot and left my radiator fan off after doing some work. Might've gotten her up past... Eh... 260*F? She was boiling pretty good. Whoops.

Got her cooled down and topped back off and she's still running fine. Fingers crossed there's no HG issues. We'll see.

Also got my box cut down and installed. I need to spray it with something, but she's doing really well so far.

The running boards installed, trying to figure a way to finish the front of them.
Changed my steering fluid with the old turkey baster trick

Head gaskets seem to have survived their trip to 260 degrees and back. No drips as of yet. I'll keep watching them a few days, but all is well so far. No ticking sleeves, either.

'03 block with cheapo eBay head gaskets have treated me very well despite abuse.

You need to be careful "tempting fate"...or 9 times out of 10...fate will become reality.

Always do. Was definitely a scary thing when I looked down and saw that little red light. Here's to hoping I don't do something stupid lime that again.

Yeah... it sucks royally. When it happened I didn’t get any fault lights or trouble codes so I started Googling the problem while I sat in traffic waiting on a tow truck. I found other people had the same engine cut off problem from a bad CPS.
I bought a new Duralast CPS #SU5570 for little over $50 at AutoZone and slapped it in. Now it works great.
