Just changed engine oil and filter...not to keen on having baked oil in there.

Also, big THANK YOU to Alex for mentioning the "A/C deleted"- belt number. I'd changed the belt after removal, but forgot to keep the belt sleeve/with number...so after a quick search...l found the number again in one of Alex's post/topics. Sleeve and paper with number are in the glove box now.

Brian.

Put in a Hyundai purge valve, so far so good... no P0441 code! Fingers crossed. If the code doesn't come back then that means the genuine purge valve I put in a few months ago was DOA.

Next up... installing the 04 transfer case I rebuilt w/ CDL

I also ordered some silicon high temp 5/16 coolant hose off Amazon... going to do the throttle body heater delete

The Motorad Thermostat 180 for 21 or so is tempting, but has anyone had a Motorad 180 that actually opens at 180?

Lucky8 sells the britpart for only $33, and LRdirect sells it for $19. I'd probably pass on the motorad... but given the number of thermostat issues on this forum, it seems that all brands are shipping stuck t-stats.. including genuine.. so who knows

It's kind of nuts.

Also, I have never heard of AJUSA, but the head gasket seems to have a good amount more metal than the others between the cylinders. Looks nice.

I had a Motorad thermostat and still have a Gates waterpump the PO had just put on my 04 before I got it(new radiator too).
It never ran hot.
I did buy a black 180 degree thermostat from Lucky8 to replace the Motorad, as I read too many bad things about them.

I bought a Motorad 180, it was a 195. Really annoying.
