I sanded the major rough down as they were badly deteriorated and painted them with some black satin trim paint from topcote. It looks better than before but I think I’ll do them over in black bedliner. After I build a bumper and rock guards. I’ll paint them all the same time

I did mine the same way. The bedliner makes them look 1000% better than sanding and painting

Put teflon tape on brake speed bleeders. Bled brakes, did a downhill with hdc, repeated process. Helped a bunch with stiffer pedal. Switched out the 195 for the 180 stat, with the inline mod.

Checked fuel pressure for a hard start / lean problem. ...running fuel pressure is 20 psi....when shut off drops to zero immediately. ..guess its fuel pump time..

Leaky fuel injector could also drop fuel pressure after cutoff.

Just got back from a 1070 mile road trip in my daughter's Disco 2 with the fam to the beach.

Weird gas mileage. One tank of fuel got 17 mpg! Wow! Then another tank only got 14.8 mpg. Meh. Both were running the dual A/C units front and back.

Had to add 1/2 quart of oil. Had to add a full bottle of power steering fluid. Yeah, I have a leak.

...but dang, the A/C is cold, the cruise control works, the power steering is smooth, coolant temps are good, the ride is pleasant, the sunroofs work, etc.

Speakers are fantastic! Spotify is the bomb for road trips.
