Wife mentioned an extra noise coming from heater and there was no air flow. Cleaned the squirrel cage out, jam packed with oak leaves. Note to self...don't open hood to check fluid levels...while leaves are abundant on the cowl. Seems like they would have a screen over the intake opening...but it is wide open. No wonder mice get inside so easily.

Went for a putter around town on turkey day only to trigger SES. Threw it on the scanner and found that the Crank Position Sensor will wait no longer. Read all the group wisdom on the subject and had no problems removing. Hooking up the new wiring is another story; can’t quite get my XXL arms in far enough to clip it together from below or above.
Had a bourbon and slept on it....and soaked exhaust nuts. Today I’m going to make a tool that may solve the problem....or I may drop the exhaust!
Update tomorrow.

Just picked up number 2
Just picked up what was going to be a parts truck but I may save it from the scrapper. The truck supposedly had a bad knock but when I finally got the key it was just misfiring and had too much oil in it. Overall paid too much for it and was misled about the mileage but still excited for #2. Just waiting for the shipper to pick it up now.

Much better than I anticipated. It's a Vienna Green SE with the tan leather and cold weather package. There isn't a single rip or tear in the leather but the interior has a little bit of a smokey smell from a previous owner. The paint is in good shape except for the hood where the clear coat is peeling off in flakes. The front bumper is in great shape and only has 2 minor cracks that we'll probably patch. The three amigos are brightly illuminated along with a flashing check engine light (cylinder 3 and 7 were misfiring on what looked like some very old wires) and the oil light is on. Car hadn't been run in months when we got there and it cranked right up but we didn't run it long as it was overfilled with oil by about 3 quarts. The only things that don't appear to be functioning are the front sunroof and the driver's heated seat. Oh and did I mention the truck has 245,000 miles... Long story short but I purchased for $500 with no title or key and thought that was a good deal but then the owner who had the title and a key came forward and wanted her share of money. I tried to get my money back but the first guy had already spent it so worked with him and her and got a title and key. When I was finally able to get into the car I discovered it had about 75,000 more miles than I was led to believe. Since at this mileage most people wouldn't want to buy it, and I don't need 3 cars in college I'll probably shine my 02 up to sell, just need to get around to the bumper and the headliner. Unfortunately, missed out on an 2006 Range Rover HSE for $2300 because I was dealing with this craziness.
