In my experience Costco will not sell you tires that are larger than the manufacturer recommends.

I've been able to buy tires from Sams Club/Costco & then take them somewhere else for mounting/balancing. For 265/75R16 just tell them you have a 1996 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 LT, because that is the OEM size for that model.

Default What did I do today to my DII?

I sat back and enjoyed the fact that I have finally completed everything that needed to be done! Everything now works like it was new! Now to take her down to Mexico and have her roof painted (sunburned), and I should be able to kick back for a change and enjoy the fruits of my labors lol...
HGs, radiator, hoses, viscous fan, ABS fix, brakes/rotors, power steering pump, ps hoses, oil cooler hoses, purge valve, coolant sensor, rebuilt SAI pump, emergency brake, water pump, all pullys, fuel pump, rear window seals, new front cup holders and ashtray and coin holder, trim for trees, and more!

Default 180F thermostat

Was seeing 206-210F idle temps and 199-204F under load on my 2002 D2. Dropped in the 180F, and now 188F under load and 188-194F idle. Feeling much better!

Replaced the overflow hose in the cooling system

Also, had a cracked bushing in the drivers door regulator. I did the Hllman nylon washer #881539 to replace it, read about it here, great $1 fix. It was preemptive, I did not want to have to do the repair in the middle of the winter.

Not mine...I’m in Arizona, hence the short hop to Mexico for the roof painting 🤣

Passed emissions and put plates on my wife's disco and it promptly started leaking from the water pump. I looked underneath to find the leak and noticed the front crankshaft oil seal was leaking pretty good too.

That's what I get for making the truck legal to drive.

I finally changed out the engine oil with Shell Rotella T6 5w-40.
I also added a magnetic engine oil drain plug M14-1.50 for a V8...

I also replaced the rear drop links with the longer front drop links...
V8...
