Yeah, unfortunate but true. It's the end of a great love affair.

Haha now there's an idea!

Would have done nothing, but met up with my girlfriend for lunch. She was using the disco today and I was using her car. She told me the service engine light was on so I switched cars with her. I got 4 codes read when I went into work, "rough road" code, and 3 related to 02 sensors. I replaced the two rear 02 sensors tonight and the codes haven't come back....yet.

Default what I did the past few days

I had a misfire on number 2 and a general misfire, so I replaced both of my coil packs and wires. Problem solved.

I replaced my left rear door which had bubbling and peeling clearcoat with a newer one with perfect paint that I bought for a whopping $100 off of a truck that British 4x4 Centre in San Antonio is parting out! AWESOME! Five minute job.

I also removed my stock brushguard and ripped off my stupid, broken stock plastic front bumper assembly and replaced it with slightly-used steel winch bumper that I scored for a lowly $350, also from British 4x4!! One hour total job with the help of a buddy, a little black rattle can and it looks brand new!

The new parts really made me happy. I"d been lamenting the fact that I busted up the right side of my stock unit when I ran it through a ditch at speed a couple of months ago and had actively been shopping for a good steel bumper. When I made the one hour drive down to San Antonio to fetch the door I didn't have any idea that they would have that bumper laying there in the shop.

I've already posted it in the classifieds section, but these changes leave me with some nice spare parts: a complete left rear door that just needs repainting; two perfect-shape 2000-model foglamps; and my stock brushguard which won't fit over my new steel winch bumper.

Not bad.

I've been going mad trying to find a oem front brush guard for a 99-02 D2. Check your PM.

Talking to my insurance agent after some young lady backed her Dodge into my lovely Discovery. Say what you want about about the approach angle of an ARB bull bar, but damn it sure does mess the **** out of the side of a newer pickup truck.

Finally got my headliner done. I didn't like the spray paint approach as it seemed streaky and not close enough to the beige plastic on my door and windscreen columns. So I got Home Depot to match the paint in an eggshell finish which I figured would be easier to clean if necessary. I used a 4 inch mini roller and did 3 light coats and let it dry for a few days as I was busy with other things. The color match is excellent and I really like the soft sheen the eggshell finish gave it.

I also installed USB charging port up above the rear view mirror. My new Tom Tom GPS uses a cord that plugs into one of those cig. lighter USB plugs but I didn't like the wire hanging down and preferred it up above out of the way. The USB port is actually for boats and has a waterproof cap. I tied it into the wires for the dome lights.
