I'm really close to just having the local Rover shop deal with this - I shudder thinking about spending $1k on air conditioning but this just seems like a nightmare to work with.
you can buy a leak detector kit from autozone. It may still be simple. I’ve seen Schrader valves stick open and all the freon leak out. It’s not likely but it can happen.

Thanks Brian - this is helpful. I reordered a new testing set so I'll start there. Ideally I don't need to replace the condensor or the line from the drier to the evaporator.

Thanks - the valves seem OK (and both high and low were connected to the gauge set when I pulled a vacuum. I held off on charging the system but will do so once I get a new dye kit.

Got my rear turn signal issue figured out.... loose connection at the housing end plug and defective bulb on passenger side. Drivers side was a whole other story... who ever replaced the bulbs didn't turn them to lock them into place ... quick turn and ... bingo... working rear turn signals...

[QUOTE=huggi;724998]Painted the rims black

Kudos for going gloss instead of the popular flat. Flat looks cheap and dirty even if it's clean imo.

Default Cheap fender fix

Got a can of rustoleum rubberized undercoat, taped off the body, and got the fender flares cleaned up some for cheap.

@escott16 that looks really good, nice job.

@huggi I think you must be the same person who posted a video of an entire fleet of LRs on reddit recently?

AUTO-VOX T1400 Upgrade Wireless Backup Camera Kit on amazon. Mirror swaps out super easy. Comes with the needed adapter. No wires to run through the cabin. You just need to tap into the reverse light.
