On my 01 D2, I had a very small leak where the small return line came in. This was noticeable after replacing the cap and the plastic coolant reservoir. I just nipped off about an inch and reconnected it. Problem solved.

Decided to attempt painting the hood. It’ll the clear coat was peeling pretty bad. Currently have it sanded down to this point and just went over it with 800 grit. Any paint experts know if this is good enough to start applying base Before sanding Current state, post 800 grit

Well last week or so I chopped off the back end of my chassis and welded on a replacement section, check out my post, "Busy few days"
This week its the front, I needed to replace the ACE, dust cover and mounting bush, plus find an oil leak
so removed the front bumper its scrap any way new 5mm thick steel one waiting to go on
then removes the front ACE actuator, more fun a games it did not want to come off, I had to clamp up the rod, to get the last few threads off, but I did cut up a short section of copper pipe and used that to protect the rod from damage, I had to remove the anti roll bar because you can not get the bolt out from the ACE , once it dropped down you can remove the mounting bolt, I tied up the ram an took the bar into my garage to remove the bush It took a few hours I pushed out the inner but could move the outer section I ended up putting a hacksaw through it and chiseling it out, so I was not looking forward to replacing it I put the new mount in the freezer over night, then before I tried to push in the now very cold mount I warmed up it up with a Plumbers blow torch to my suprise I had it in in 10 mins

as you can see from the above photo I have what looks like a large oil l, well I tried to trace this leak for a few days , I have not lost any steering fliud , ACE fliud the oil cooler is dry, the oil was on the inner wing,
I needed to do a spot of welding so I removed the ECU, to do that I needed to remove the car jack from it stowage, and I found that there was oil in the stow point, it had run into the battery space and down on the inner wing, on to the chassis below right next to the ACE actuator, so the leak was from my Jack!! all cleaned up now , but here is the tool I made to get the rod out of its mount, I luckily have a set of through type sockets
its is a bit to long I may shorten it to d the back one
