Only thing I've noticed from having a rough finish on the bumper is it will tear up pants if you are in and out of the back consistently as to reach the front portion of the cargo space you have to lean in (at least I do in the lifted discos and I'm 6'). Another thought and something I plan on adding to the sides/wings is a small 1" square tubular kick out can function as a small step around the side and a little more protection to keep the roof line from getting smashed. Pending sliders it would match nicely. Easy to fab and add on an unfinished bumper.

Went to leave for work and Rover wouldn't turn over . I figured since its been so cold lately that the battery died so I hooked up the charger and stole the wife's Caddy.
All day I was wondering/ hoping that it wasn't the starter and seeing a sub zero repair in my near future.

Got home and charger said all was good, so hopped in and still no life 👺!
hooked up my scanner to do a battery test. Was reading the display telling me to make sure car is in park......

looked down......I left it in drive when getting home the night before🙊.

so todayI had a dumbass attack.

Haha, I did this once back in highschool on my way to my first date with a girl. Called her to tell her I wasn't going to be able to make it. After a couple minutes, over the phone, her mom asked me if it was in park..... Doh!

This is ancillary modification, today. Not D2 specifoc. Made some modifications for my harbor freight jerry can. This is the first version of the neck, version two and perhaps three to come. I'm very happy with the placement of the vent. It's high enough and out of the way, but well protected by the handles.

Not great pictures. I'll do a short wrote up when I'm totally happy with the final result.

Nice. I've been eyeing the Harbor Freight jerry cans. Looking forward to your writeup about the vent mod.

Installed my ladder today. Had to run to the hardware store for a larger rig nut, since the supplied nuts wouldn't fit on any of the mandrels on my harbor freight rig nut tool. Also replaced the windshield cowl with a perfect junk yard find. And added some weather stripping to the vent opening under the cowl. Still gotta get some rustoleum on my roof rack.
