started tearing down the green rover for HG, cam and lifters. Did the rear brakes on the white one yesterday...you know it's bad when you can do both sides in under 45 min lol...including new calipers and cleaning the pins.

I used my rear view camera as a trail view camera (showing the rear axle from behind). It's on the Honanki trail, Sedona/AZ.

Don't re-cover the headliner, paint it. You won't regret it. Check out the thread linked below.

I've seen some other owners have painted their headliner or even used truck bed liner. Those are certainly more durable. I'll have a shop do the job as I don't trust myself to do it right. I honestly prefer having a cloth headliner, though.

Picked up another $300 beauty yesterday. Unfortunately the frame is rotted and no title. Otherwise this one would be worth saving.

Oh well! Looks like the wife is getting her 7 seater upgrade she wanted!

This one makes #5, second parts truck. Heads have been freshly machined and pressure tested, not even fully installed yet. Bumper has a couple cracks, but frankly in really good shape.

Removing the headliner, stripping it, prepping the surface, priming and painting is not difficult. But it is tedious and time consuming work.

If I wanted fabric, I too would have a pro do it.

But it's been over 10 years now with the painted headliner and I'm completely satisfied. It looks great. If you didn't know it was originally fabric you'd not question it wasn't factory. And, perhaps best of all, it will never, ever sag again. Remember, it's not the fabric that fails, it's the foam backing that deteriorates with age and gives way.

This embedded video auto-plays every time I visit this page, even though it's on the "previous" page number-wise. There doesn't seem to be any way to turn it off, either in my browser or on the forum. Really annoying.
