Not today, but over the last few days. Retired my old rusty 1970 Bronco from plow duty and cut up the mount and put on a 2004 Discovery.
I had a 1999 DII that I sold in 2010 and have had an LR3 and now D5 since. The DII makes a great plowing vehicle. The blade is only 6.5' so it is small.
One of the very first things I did when I got my old D2 was strap a couple of thicknesses of plywood roof sheathing to the front of it to use as a plough. Rudimentary, but effective when I needed it.
Finally took the disco to a little overland event in north Georgia. It was mostly
camping, but my buddy and I ran a few trails by ourselves so no real photos of that. We unfortunately had to bail a day early due to impending ice storms, but it was still a good time. Drove 700 miles without a hitch and crossed over 100k miles on the old girl on the way home.
How did you get the wiring into the body? I assume you wired into the existing back up lights?
You don't need to run wiring into the cabin; just remove the right-rear (US passenger) tail-light, snake the wiring down and pull it out under the vehicle. Then find the green/brown wire coming off the taillight electrical connector and use a test light/multimeter to verify that you get 12v+ when the truck is in Reverse. Once verified; splice or t-tap into that wire and your new aux reverse lights will come ON with the stock reverse lights.
