I keep clearing the SLABS fault for right rear. All of a sudden this month I’ve been getting the 4 amigos every other day now.
my next step is totally replacing the right rear bearing assembly since I already did the Option B on a new shuttle valve switch.

Green disco is up and running about nicely, temps hold pretty well considering it's been hotter than hell the last few days. Haven't gone above 194 degrees which is a hair under 100 more than ambient. However it has a decent oil leak, I must have buggered up the front main when I put the new one in. It's definitely coming from the front of the motor and the oil cooler lines are tight. Little irritating but at this point not a huge deal to swap in a new seal.

I always put a thin bead of silicone on the od of the seal to make sure it seals to the case, fills in the minor casting imperfections.

I'll give that a try if that is indeed what's leaking. I'm gonna pull fan and belt and see if I can get a better look on what it might be. Might have not snugged up a front cover bolt well enough either I guess. Gonna give it a quick once over before I go ripping out the front seal. I also switched from rotella t6 15-40 to the t4 15-40, not really sure why I did as I've been super pleased with the synthetic rotella so maybe the dino version is a little thinner? who knows, I'm tired of trying to keep 2 of these going and ready to be back to wheeling and just driving them.

I turned off the Daytime Running Lights option with my Nanocom.
For some weird reason the DRLs were brighter than the regular headlights I guess since I have LED bulbs in them.
I kept getting flashed at by oncoming traffic during the daytime. My wife even said when driving in front of me, the Disco’s DRLs are extremely bright and annoying when viewed from her rearview mirror.
Oh well…

well looks like the harmonic balancer is toast and the source of my leaking. It has a serious wobble that was not there pre cam and headgasket work. Rubber wasn't in the best shape and guessing the little extra vibration during the cam break in it had enough. Hope to find a decent used one local and I can get back up and running quickly.

Juke do you have the Nano Faultmate or Evo? I tried turning DRL’s off on my P38 but my Evo doesn’t seem to do it.

I have the Nanocom Evo.
This is the process for a Disco 2 but should be sort of the same for a P38 BECM…

DISCOVERY 2 > TD5 or MOTRONIC > VALEO BCU (BECM) > SETTINGS > LIGHTS WINDOWS-SEATS> on Daytime Run Lights, toggle green button to NONE.

Here is the part people forget to do…
Press red X in bottom right corner > at the bottom of list press “WRITE SETTINGS” >
A pop up will ask “Write Settings to ECU?”, click “OK”. The Nanocom will then write your changes to the BCU/BECM in 2 attempts with a green bar showing it’s progress.

Note the curled dashboard. No photoshop would attend to such detail.
